- On arrival at Wattay Airport or Friendship Bridge, you are met and transferred to our centrally located hotel.
- After a short rest, visit the major sights of the capital, including wat Sisaket, the former royal temple of wat PraKeo previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. That Luang stupa and Patouxai Monument these are well known as Vientiane’s own “ Arc de Triomphe “ Overnight in Vientiane.
- A short morning flight to Luang NamTha, a land of rugged mountains, beautiful forest and sharing the border with China and Myanmar. Today, Luang NamTha is populated by over twenty ethnic groups that make it the most ethnically diverse province in Laos.
On arrival, we travel by roads to Muang Sing, stopping along the way at the Ikor hill tribe village. Overnight in Muang Sing.
- After breakfast, we visit the MuangSing market where many minority ethnic people converge from the surrounding valleys and hillsides to sell their goods and buy provisions, Heading out of the town, we take a short drive north, to Alima starting a half day trekking through the breathtaking mountain landscape to the Yao, Akkha and Landtern hill tribe villages. Overnight at Muang Sing.
- Today is a long day traveling down through Luang NamTha and Oudomxay. The road conditions are good and the spectacular landscapes with a mixture of terraced fields and rustic villages, makes the hardship all worthwhile.
On the way, an enjoyable visit to the Chiang Tung stupa, the Akkha Village at Ban NamDeng and the Ikor village at Ban Lakkham Mai. Overnight in Oudomxay.
- The local market also attracts a wide variety of ethnic minority groups including the Akkha, Taidam, Kmu and Hmong. They are all colorful and friendly. We visit this congregation before we set off on our journey along the Nam Phak river to Muang La, which is well know for the Pra Xack Kgam Temple and the beautiful mountain scenery. Upon leaving this town, the roads begin to deteriorate; however you can make stop as you please, to stretch your legs and take pictures. Overnight in Muang Bountai.
- Heading out to the town, we continue venturing into the northern Laos, with the next stop in Phongsali. En route we will have the chace to see the bee breeding and the rice wine distillation at Ban Km35 as well as the Ikor minority people, originally called Akkha.
On arrival in Phongsali, we walk up 413 steps to the top of PhouFa mountain, which will give us an incredible view of the surrounding area. Overnight in Phongsali.
- After breakfast. Travel by road to Hatsa, embark on a traditional boat cruising down on the Nam Ou river to Muang Khoa.
The cruise is long, but visiting villages and seeing the daily activities of local people along the river is worth going. Overnight in NongKhiaw.
- Today, continuation cruise on the Nam Ou river through the beautiful landscape of northern Laos to Luang Prabang The world heritage city. On the way , there are some stop opportunities to the holy Pal Ou caves. Overnight in LuangPrabang.
- The tranquility and charm of Luang Prabang with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. A full day guided tour takes us into the city’s oldest temple and the magnificent Wat XiengThong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple. Heading out of this sight, we continue seeing the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham. We then climb up to the top of the Phousi hill for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa with a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong river. Overnight in LuangPrabang.
- Visit the national museum housed in the former royal palace and free time for your own exploration of the city and strolling around the shopping area. In the early afternoon, we board a flight back to the capital city Vientiane, a visit to the Buddha Park, where blend of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures were created by mystical monk located by the Mekong river. With the impressive spectacular sunset over the friendship Bridge, perfect way to finish the trip. Overnight in Vientiane.
- After breakfast, transfer to Wattay Airport or Friendship Bridge for departure.
